Chain case leaking

Hi.i have an oil leak from chain casing.Will it affect the performance of the engine.Its only a small leak.cheers simon

I would have thought if oil can get out air can get in

Air in the chaincase is not a problem. No oil in the chaincase is a problem Image

As long as you keep it topped up at all times it will be fine, but it’s probably an easy fix if you have a go.

If it's from the gasket face, Darrell Taylor does some lovely thick gaskets that compensate for minor damage and heat distortions really well. They've worked for me a couple of times.

Hi all, replaced gasket with a cork one.Reason for the leak 2 studs had come loose. So I heli coiled them in.I hope that’s the corrrect bodge.Cheers Simon

Lambretta Upgrades do really nice gaskets in different thicknesses.
