Any one here quote me some figures for under sparkplug sensor.......
gp200 stage 4 28mm delly and af clubman, i,ve had it 100 deg celsius once but on mid to 3/4 throttle seems to be around 86 o 94 i then knock on the choke on downhill sections of road this will immediately bring it down to the 70s so i,m wondering is the 90s/100 too hot a zone.......
what are others getting???????????
PS ITS A TRAILTEC and seems fairly accurate.
thanx in advance

Sounds ok to me. I run without cowlings or fan and with an MB head and see 85 to 95 during normal conditions but have seen up to 130 stopped and ticking over but it soon comes down when moving again. Mines mounted under the cylinder head stud nut nearest the plug.

Looks a bit high for temperature on a road scooter can you really compare an aircraft engine which would probably be burning aviation fuel to that of an unleaded octane fuel???
I really don't have a clue and only asking the question so thanx for any advice given if I need to get up in the 180-220 c range I would need to stop riding like a pussy and screw that throttle a bit more to see if I can get this baby smokin

My gut feeling is they ar comparable
It's still an engine no matter what it's in

You are probably right I wonder does the size/cc make a difference to the amount of heat created ?Jazzy wrote:My gut feeling is they ar comparable

They are, only thing to be wary off is that on a lambretta if you get upto over 190 CHT your in the red.
