Setting up a tm34 on my rb20
No matter what, the carb totally breaks up at 1/2 throttle. Starts up easily and holds an idle.
Current jets
185 main (started at 280 and working my way down), to me this is too small.
20 pilot
6dh7 needle (wrong type I know, needs a 5 series)
Unknown needle jet (atomizer)
This carb is a bitsa so there's no telling if something is completely off apart from the bad response.
Has anyone run a tm34 on a rb20 and has had success? What did you end up with? Usually I'll power through and do all the jetting but time is short before the California lambretta jamboree and I just can't get the time on it I'd like.
RB20,TM34 and two stroke designs pipe. Lost on jetting

What was it then?
I guessing not a popular configure here...

I had the wrong choke plunger in the carb actually, it was too short. So the choke was always on. That explains why it was puking oil/gas out of the tail pipe once it warmed up.
Still need to correctly jet it but now at least I can make progress. Found the correct needle and needle jet in my bin and back up to a 200 main. I suspect it will land somewhere around 240-260 main
