There are 2 options when putting a lambretta barrel on Vespa casings: 1=Blank off barrel inlet and run rotary induction as per casings or 2=blank off casings and use barrel inlet.

My question is. Could the same piston (the lambretta one that comes with the barrel) be used for both methods and what advantages and disadvantages are there with both options ?

blanking off the rotary inlet is the best option, depends on con rod length etc if piston could be used?
