Love an answer on this based on real world testing as opposed to theory or opinion
So, if you replace a straight tailpipe with a perforated muffler of the same length and internal diameter, what if any impact is there on power/torque/characteristics?

I'm trying to work out what you are proposing, from what. A straight solid tube as a tailpipe ala clubmans? or just a straight tube off an expansion? (loud). being replace with just perforated tube, or is it inside a wadding packed tube (a muffler), on a box exhaust or pipe?
