Kick Start Problem Runner Engine

Hi,
I have a problem with the kick start on a Gilera runner SP 180. I have attached photos for you to look at. I think the part that is worn is called a “Kick Start Engagement Gear Washer” or a “castle washer”. Does this look worn to you and need replacing? Would I also need to replace the “kick start pinion gear”?
