Has the rod been altered to fit through the wider webs?

Your base gasket area is already machined, so I'm guessing the mag packer is 5-ish mm and you intend to machine 5mm into the casing on the drive side? Are you doing away with the seal plate and going for fuel lubed drive side?

Rich,

While we await the proper answer to your question, could the drive-side seal plate be retained if the whole centre-line of the crank was shifted over towards the mag-side?

Surely this would be possible if the barrel spigot was re-manufactured, which is pretty much what you have got in Holty's engine.

Still, whether that was thought of before this crank was commissioned........

Come on Holty. Give us the answer.

the centerline is the same as a standard engine, so 5mm is machined from the inside of the crancase on the drive side, its the corner where the seal plate fits, except i wont have room for one, im using a vespa clutchside crank bearing , followed by the thin circlip, followed by the seal, then the mag spacer should give me enough space on the flywheel side,a bit of work to do, but my casing isnt back get so i cant get on with it yet, will post some pics when ive made some more progress.
