Italjet Dragster leaking water

My new to me dragster is leaking coolant from arount the plastic skull cap. I've replaced the rubber skull cap gasket with a new genuine item but its still leaking from the same place. Just wondering if it could be the plastic skull cap itself that is warped and not clamping the gasket correctly. Has anyone else had experience of a skull cap being warped or have any other ideas? Thanks.

I would replace the plastic scull cap with a metal one and if you want go overboard and use a sealant

Thanks for the reply, are the metal ones available new and from where, or is it a case of buying used?
