Is it sacrilege to change color when restoring a scoot? I'm about to have my '67 180ss restored. It is and was originally white. I like the factory blue better, but don't want to ruin the value. I don't ever plan on selling it, as it's been in the family for 25+ years. Mine is a US spec machine with round headlight and tractor style tail lamp. I'm not sure they ever came in blue. Any advice?

Agreed, If you have no plans to sell then spray it whatever colour rocks your boat. If you want to return it back to factory spec at a later date then do that too. Good luck with it 👍🏻
Stay tuned..............

That vid looks like a reasonably factory colour, even if it isn't for that specific bike.
Your bike, you do as you please. Do it whatever colour you're happy with. You can always change your mind, and do it another colour.
