float pivot pin stuck

Try warming the pillars with hot water and use vise grips instead of pliers.

I can't remember whether the pin hole / drilling goes all the way through on an SH or Jetex, however, on one or t'other I have managed to start it moving by poking the other end, then got it loose enough to remove from the correct end.

Cheers chaps, got it out using needle nose mole grips, following the carb being left in my new (off ebay) ultrasonic cleaner, ill put a post up on this later, including pictures.
