SS180 in a Fastfrog way of faire les choses...

New start for an old lady that's been sleeping for more than 25 years. I got it from an old family friend when I was 19. I rode her one or two years at the beginning of the 90' before getting my first PX200. Engine was totally sized. At this time, there was no internet of easy way to get new overbored piston for a forgotten and rare model in France. Piaggio France had no reference for it. So I decided to swap the top end for a the newly available Pinasco 215 double inlet.

that was her current state when I opened the garage door for the first time in 25 years:

knowing that a new spare engine waits on the shelf. A very special one with Fastfrog o-tuning parts inside. But that's part of another forcoming post...

I want to keep her in her old genuine paint and rusty bits. Just clean her up, rust stop where needed, new steering bearing, sleeves and cables. Loom seems ok as this model is battery free.

Beginning of the polish job

Yeah. A very special one....
Found a second set of casings in relative good shape. double check thoses two hard to find right side roller bearings. A complete standard gear box and cluster.

I also found a stock barrel in 62 mm bore and began my FF work.

Is a SS180 more desirable than a Rally 200 these days?

If there's one thing better than a barn find, it's your own barn find!
