I have a 200 that is otherwise set up to a GP configuration with 22mm carb. I'm using a standard S3 elbow on the airbox. Although, I've seen elsewhere that I should be using a GP style elbow. Is there anything in it? And do they really make a difference to the flow of air?

the GP and Ser 3 elbows are different lengths as so the rubber may not sit over the carb mouth

You're absolutely right. The GP manifold must be 10mm longer in actual fact. I hadn't realised that there was a difference. But, the S3 manifold seems to sit just fine. I must have stretched the bellows. But, in any case there wouldn't seem to be any practical difference. Although, I've learnt something new.
