Wulfy, you could have saved yourself a journey. Swifco are just around the corner from Scootopia and do a first rate job of blasting and powder coating.

Very frustrating Chris, still waiting for the engine to be done, the blasting to be done, and the chrome work as well. Also ordered the first new parts ready for the rebuild but the wrong item was delivered. I now have the parts to refurb the forks when they come back and will get your tool back to you :)
On the plus side I got to meet big Dave the other day and went round to see his scoots.

Quick update, petrol tank, toolbox, air box, rear mudguard, and new wiring loom fitted, starting to take shape now but can't really do any more until I get the engine back (yes, still waiting for it)

lovely job well done,if leaving everything standard then great, i would have opened up the air scoop a bit while you had the chance bit more airflow to the filter wouldnt harm.

Is that just a case of cutting it out with a dremmel or such? I'm going to keep the engine as standard on this one as I plan to hand it to my son when he turns seventeen (wife would give me hell if she found out it was not 125 and also I would not forgive myself if anything was to happen to him). Am keen to do another for myself once finished but with a bit more oomph

A quick update, panels back from paint shop (Ultimate Bike Paint) and seat now refurbished with new springs and cover.
I have just discovered I have made a huge novice error by not checking the fit of both side panels before sending off for painting, not sure at the mo if it's the panel or the part of the frame it sits on. Feeling very deflated now :-(
