Fixing kits

Are the complete fixing kits from ebay any good? Has anybody purchased one of these. Seems to make sense to get one for my li s3 restoration, but I am a novice?

If you mean one of the rebuild packs available from buzzsolomoto, i bought one for my li and I found it saved me a lot of hassle. Saved a little money too, but the hassle was the main thing for me.

Yeah just seen them, they also do a full body and frame rebuild kit for £180 which includes all rubbers etc seems better than buying everything seperate, just wondered about the quality. Initially I wanted to salvage everything, o far I've removed 4 bolts, 3 of them have disintegrated! So I think this May be impractical!

Most, if not all, the screws, nuts, bolts and washers are available from your local fixing/welding supplier for a fraction of the cost.

Very true, but if like me your time is more precious than the £40 that you'll save buying the fasteners 4 or 5 at a time, plus the petrol costs of going back and forth for the ones you forgot, then they can make sense.

Depends on your situation; if I were retired, then I'd buy individually.

I'm with you on that Hendy, times precious and has a cost, plus fuels expensive. Have bought the complete kit from Buzz and it did the trick.

Agree, the scootopia kit I got was excellent.

I bought the complete rebuild kit for my series 2 from Buzzsolomoto.Kit includes rubbers,nuts and bolts and everything else that you need.Great kit.Uses Casa and Mec rubbers,all good quality.
