Rust Converter

The coaters I use won't powder coat a used exhaust, due to the process and the carbon in the exhaust. Powder Coat will also flake off the down tube, that part gets too hot.

Can't you plug the exhaust in some way to avoid the carbon to spill out...?

I have used Fertan on my PX.
Especially the exhaust which I wire brushed, fertaned and then Black Engine Enamel.

Fertan comes with good recommendations so we will see.

Got to say in the end the rusct converter thing was a bit of a disappointment. It certainly reacts quickly and looks impressive. But it didn't stop the rust. You could run your hand over it and it's as rusty as it ever was. Bottom line is I don't think there is any substitute for blasting it back to the bare metal and properly treating it.
