Thinking of getting a quote from a local custom bike shop to spruce up the paintwork on one of my scoots. This will involve some pearl white and gold metalflake over the already sapphire blue panels and legshields.

Anyway, before I go and see them, just wondering whether any of you lads who've had race paint jobs done, could point me in the right direction.

I'm thinking of some black lettering on the pearl white but I don't like the way vinyl graphic letters are too "good." I much prefer the old way of traditional signwriting, I suppose much like 80s race replicas used to have____I think DTC paintjobs were like the sort of lettering I'm on about.

Is this possible these days and, if so, will it add loads to the cost?

Just been to the local paintshop. He proposes using inverted graphics to use as stencils_____pretty obvious now I think about it

Thanks for that link. Some very nice work on show on their site. A pity they're over 200 miles away from me.

Probably a good job though____I have to remember that I just wanted a bit of a spruce up, not a full custom paint job :)
