I have finally found a sprayer who I trust to work on my Series 1, I want to use the original paint colours and have looked on the LCGB site for the Lechler paint codes. The original paint colours were a white base with red panels, headset and horncase, my only problem is the LCGB site doesn't give a white paint as an option for LI150 Series 1 but only grey? Am I missing something I'm sure the main colour was white, what about a colour code for the tank, toolbox, cowlings, forks, hubs, rims etc.

Any help/advice would be gratefully appreciated, thanks, Dave.

Never heard of a white series 1 :? ,li 150 series 1 should be river grey (8014 lechler) for single color body work all over and dawn grey (8019 lechler)for two tone body work such as yours ,also choices of ruby red (8047) or coral red (8046) for two tone.

Hope this helps .

Dawn grey it is then, I have a few small parts still in the original paint and on inspection it is a very light grey, do I just give the Lechler code to the painter and rely on it being mixed right or have it colour matched?

Thanks for all your help, Dave.

you need a paint supplier that can use the lechler codes

HI there. Ironically enough I just had the colors matched and mixed for my series 1. here is the link to the thread. I can let you know the Centari code-it's single stage. Shooting the grey/blue/whiteish color this weekend.
will be scaning the original chips I found at my local pant store.
Peace,
Mike

The paint chips towards the end of that thread are interesting.

Good luck with the deadline for finishing it all before the baby drops.

The link takes you to a Facebook page but I would rather just the image on here.

Take a close look at the rear mudguard, I was sold this many years ago as a NOS Series 1 item but I don't think it is, it fits but it doesn't have the extra piece on the right hand side a normal mudguard has?

That's the one! how do I do that? any ideas on the mudguard?
Were all Series 1 British market scooters fitted with the brass legshield badge? this one doesn't have any holes for a badge and it is definitely British.
