A new back shock.

I took these photos at Mersea where Frank and Paul had a number of new products for Lambrettas. They have identified through their Scomadi projects that there is still the need for new products for traditional Lambrettas.

This shock is pre-production. The body will be the gun-metal grey similar to the one shown.

There is adjustment for length, pre-load, slow and fast damping, has rubber bushes and it will make the tea if you're luck. Price will should be under £200, which sounds pretty good.

Frank's desire to fit better brakes into standard forks has shown him that you can't get straight forks any more. Frank and Paul are now manufacturering forks from scratch, including new pressed bottoms, which will be almost seemlessly TIG welded without an overlap. A new stem and saddle will be manufactured to suit all models and the bottom rebound rubber will be bolt-in.

Finally, here is a pre-production version of PM's new front fork link which will take a traditional spring, or external spring. The hole for the internal spring ball will be enlarged.

This was the first time I had met Paul and Frank. Nice guys with plenty of commitment to pushing the boundaries and perceptions of modern scootering.

The links are as standard but they are designed to be used with our outboard suspension hence the large boss with the 12 mm thread this means we dont need to weld pins to links any more ,which was getting hard as there are not as many italian or spanish links knocking about.(never weld to Indian links !)You can also use the links with standard or uprated internal springs and also BGM dampers we are having special studs made that allow the BGM dampers to be fitted with a thicker 9mm pin which can bear the stiffer damping settings.we are not making std drum or disc links as they are already made by MB .
