On the Avanti pistons its well worth noting that they are made by the same manufacturer and practically identical, except for the 18mm small end as the TS225 pistons that have been used reliably for some time in iron / rapido conversions for some time.

I bought one of these pistons from Beedspeed last year to fit into an old Kegra suzuki 225 stage 5 Iron barrel, and the quality of the piston was rubbish at best. I still had the oroginal Jap piston but it was past it's best, so I was able to compare the quality and the one from Beedspeed was bad!!!

the standard rd 350 lc piston is 64mm. Mitaka do a piston kit for these at less than £40 too... great value replacement for Imola pistons by the way, or folk making reed valve SR 185 conversions. Its the same piston as used by Rich T in his excellent GT kits.

Just fitted the 70mm Avanti piston to my 240 Mugello, looks a nice quality piston,
Better to keep quiet and be thought of as a D!ck Head, than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.
