Hello Randal and Scootrs and anyone else who use your products, thought i should share some photos of the Disc Pads you used in my Brand New, Inboard Disc Brake for Drum Links. This was just one of the pads "Both of which FAILED. These pads combined with the disc are designed to stop you. Not in this case >>>>No Front Brake what so ever. Look at my Scootrs thread on General Chat for the whole story. You must have plenty of money when you can challange other members to $1000 dollar wagers..How about you forget about your bet and pay me some of it for the damage caused to my scooter due to the DANGEROUS parts you fit in your products.Who ever has an Inboard disc brake please check your pads, Cheers, bicboy ;)

Very worrying but interesting....................

Looking at a very early original S3 parts manual from 1962, the disc "pad" is in fact shown as 2 parts- 19744062 ("Disc") and 19744063 ("Braking tablet"), and NOT as one would expect (i.e. a disc pad with the metal bonded to the friction material). They do in fact look just like the ones shown in the pix above.

I'm just wondering if somebody from ScootRS's "Research and Development" (!) department has simply done the copy set up directly from this old parts manual.

FWIW I've never seen a set of disc pads for a Lambretta as being anything other than a bonded metal/ friction material item, but its clearly shown as 2 parts in the manual.

Wonder what Randall will have to say
