TS1 project, ride as it is or restore??????

Soon to be in the UK and I am thinking maybe a full custom with a TS1 or do I ride it as it is or restore to original......can't make up my mind....Help needed

I'm sure I cut find some part of this to cut down and paint.
At least there's not too many parts on it to break
