I'd make a new plate personally and mount the old one on a piece of card or something incase of any questions.

Do the DVLA always inspect the frame numbers then, or is an age related certificate enough?

I am going to get this blasted (again!) and primed, then it will go on ebay, unless i get any sniffs from anyone on here............PM me if you want a project. That brown vespa in scootering this month should be a good inspiration.
