a day of mixed emotions for me today....
earlier this year a good friend of mine colin bathe passed away, when his wife said all his scooters were to be sold i just knew i had to have his dl200,so i asked to be considered when the time came.So i was very pleased to be told that colin wanted me to have this ,i gave enough hints when he was still alive that i just loved this scooter.
So today i rode home on' colins' scooter,a grin from ear to ear,but inside ,well, felt a little odd :(
I spent many a mile trying to keep up with him when he was riding this,it was bought by him in italy on one of his many trips there many years ago,and restored to his exacting standards, the engine was given a 'tweak' by bob white, colins brief was it had to look standard, but be fast and reliable, and it is both!!

i guess that must feel odd ...the joy that you wanted it so long and got it ...but the fact it was your mates scoot ...that would take a while to get arround ..
