Unfortunately the price for the custom painting was out of my budget, although his work and is probably some of the best masking and freehand work I have ever seen with a completely flat mirror finish, based in Brighton if anyone's interested, but I'll now see what I can conjure up on a smaller budget....
Anyway, in just a week I now have the new registration through with tax disc, V5 and updated MOT, along with the Number Plate Authorisation Certificate for a nice 6-digit number on a B plate with no "X" or "U" in it; it was a really easy process in this case

I got some of the last painted parts flat & polished and they came up a treat. I can now get on with the build and once the bodywork's on I can then get the design sorted as this will be done with the bodywork in situ, I'm hoping to get this completed by the new year, although I'm still waiting for the side panels...!
Anyway, it's coming along...

It's a bit close to the frame at the back of the mudguard, although I think this will improve once the front wheel is on it and settles on the ground, although it shouldn't be a problem anyway
Once I've rebuilt the headset after damaging the paint I can get it all wired up and cables sorted, just waiting on a couple of bits to arrive for the handlebars and some small parts to be polished, and we're almost there

Any details about the tech stuff? especially the master cylinder, I'm trying to decide between semi or full hydraulic for my S2 project.

Thanks Soulsurfer , love that master cylinder it's made me rethink my set up.
I have a ScootRS inboard front disc but may change that. Love what you've done so far, although it makes me more annoyed that I couldn't get a winter model when I bought my S2.

Well it's very nearly there!
Electrics and cables sorted, Super Monza now fitted, just need to fit the horncast and and footboards and set up the SIP speedo; although I am still waiting or the side panels to be painted these are expected this week...
