When/where is it spluttering ?? is the engine trying to clear as you open up the throttle or just spluttering all the way through ? 115 main is to low !!! especially as you've modified the crank -inlet and matched the cases to the barrel !! Spluttering will be because its to rich ... Ill take my 30m...

Stock vespa cranks are always good for tuning wether it be moding the inlet for rotary use or reed, ive used standard piaggio cranks that ive modified for reed use by machining the inner webs to allow no obstruction of fuel/air flow they work really well. Iv'e not put this one on a dyno yet but to haul my 17 stone over 80mph on the GPS it must be at least 30bhp! I'll get it done when it warms up; anyone know of a good dyno south of London? Ill have to disagree with you there Jack..... Ive run fully modified malossi pistons for years....Im currently running a worb5 Malossi top end that ive fettled a touch more and my engine's kicking out just over 26hp......its actually a 225 with a one off reed and pipe blah blah but goes really well ...

I friend has been getting work done on his smallframe polini iron barrel and since he's had some mods done the cylinder he's gained a good couple of horses!! and apparently not just skimming but squish varients applied ???

F##k me .....must be a reeet monster to ride....
Ive got a reed 225 malossi tuned blah blah and that's only knocking out 26.5 hp....
love to see/ride it ....is it rideable ???

He's the man...
Ralph use to do a tune with an 80mph guaranteed ....that was on standard engine but tuned of course NO KIT and I think he used a tampered leo vinci pipe..
A girl in the local club had one and it flew....and reliable tooo..

Yeah, reminds me of going to a Banbury SC do in a Vespa (Vespa riding mates) T-shirt and seeing all my mates rolling around in laughter and taking photos of me :roll:
