Adam ive been using a fuel pump set up on my Malossi 225 for years , its the dellorto type , feed in feed out and a vacume hope to the crankcase... the float needle jet you need to reduce i think ive a 150 in mine rather than a 300 the standard 30mm phbh uses !! no problems at all , im sure youll fi...

Smallframe forum will give you good advice and direction to go ,
A mate built a polini evo rotary with a 35 mm mikuni and mathias exhaust ......it was a right animal
There are a good number of small frame reed assemblies available take look on the S.I.P web site tooo for parts....

Looks very much like a standard type crank or yes maybe a cut crank but if it were a reed type there would be signs of chamfering on the on all of the right side web and the inlet port wouldve been properly fettled !!!!

Ive had a few vespa sip rims fitted with new tyre locally , £10 a tyre , the guy manages to hold the rim in the machine then uses tyre levers ......no problem.. BUT i had a scoot rs one done recently and buckled the rim slightly !!! the scoot rs rims dont have a deep enough channel causing problems ...

Its wise to repair!! if they let go , as in the retaining plate come away the spring(s) will drop out and lock up your engine !!!!! ive seen it happen!!! pulling the clutch will work to no avail !! There are plenty of after market options which are pretty cheap, then there's higher end ones for tune...

Right ok,
Ive ordered some malossi uprated springs just in case the ones fitted arent man enough, ill check the other components too, im pretty sure that the chain case in the none GP type judging by the casting !!!!

Thanks for your feed back... Ive had mixed feedback from a couple of friends regarding 5 plate clutches !! But I think ill try the MB springs , I did use a centre spring set up on my old taffspeed ts200 years ago and worked really well and wasnt to stiff to operate either ... Ive not had the chain c...

Clutch slip

im running a readspeed 5 plate clutch in my ts230 and seem to be suffering slight clutch slip when hitting the power band, would it be worth using a centre spring or maybe go for some stronger clutch springs??

Avanti TS1 pistons

Im trying gain some info regarding a replacement piston for a TS1 225, would the Avanti piston be the better option without having to machine and replate the cylinder for a Jap conversion piston?

I find under me pillow is pretty safe, warm, and keeps a bit of a sheen and wont be lost!!!
