Re: Stupid Jokes

A group of pensioners were sitting around talking about all their ailments at the local pub. "My arms have got so weak I can hardly lift this drink" said one. "Yes, I know" said another. "My cataracts are so bad I can't even see mine." "I couldn't even mark an &quo...

Re: VHSH... what is it?!

Adam,

Does it have a rubber piece in the end opposite the spring? If so it is the choke for sure.

Wot he said.

 The key is the spring. Throttle return is bigger and the springs on the adjustment needles are smaller. So that only leaves one out of four left.

Re: How to clean up low revs???

Cleaned carb and found 55 pilot so I have swapped it for a 53, initial run seems ok, think my air screw needs resetting now though as I have been farting about with it  Just curious and sorry if this is a dumb question but are you setting up your air screw in conjunction with the idle speed s...

Re: How to clean up low revs???

Changed my 30mm PHBH for a PWK copy and found it was smoother and more responsive from low throttle openings. I think it's supposed to be one of the benefits of a flat-slide or D-slide type carb. This I find interesting as I think PWK carbs are plentiful here as they are on Honda and Yamaha two-str...

Re: What is a Lambretta S900

So it doesn't indicate whether it is 150 or 200? Not a problem I will go and have a look at a few and see what I can deduce. It seems real Italian models are very expensive here so for a rebuild hack maybe a more common Indian DL/GP is a better bet for me anyway. Resprays are cheap ish at 160-260 qu...

What is a Lambretta S900

I have found a few here. S900 keeps coming up. Also Super Vijai so it is obviously a SIL GP either 150 or 200. I even found a picture of a snake like "S" on the engine casing followed by 900 but I still can't discover exactly what they are. http://i152.photobucket.com/albums/s170/mikerust/...
