Re: 225 Cylinder Head Profiling

I’ve often wondered how it’s done and thought of using one of those profile combs you sometimes see to get the profile from the piston then transfer that to the head.

Re: Clubman on GT186 - Ex Box?

What did you end up with? Point taken about the Gori, not the first time I’ve heard that.... interesting to know about the BGM... I bought a second hand NK road that was brilliant but the down pipe constantly cracked due to age and corrosion then I swapped to a cst3 now that is brilliant and no gro...

Re: Clubman on GT186 - Ex Box?

If you’re worried about fitting and noise forget the Gori, the one i had was awful (not on gt186 I hasten to add but awful is awful) can’t comment on the bgm or the Avanti but have heard it said that the small diameter tail pipe on the bgm can cause gassing up issues, used a tsr but it didn’t suit m...

Re: TSR Evo Tail can support

I can confirm the cans sold by Chiselspeed as fitted to their exhaust range share the same stud spacing as the TSR evo.

Re: Crikey its quiet in here ..iet in here...in here... here..

Personally, I think we've passed the high tide mark of the internet. There's a lot more business emphasis on website these days, and hosting a site is a lot more expensive and forces the owners to finance it to keep it going. The social media platforms are cheaper and easily accessible and all it c...

Re: GT186 revs Question

It’s well documented that reed breakage is a major problem with these kits and in some cases the reed actually going into the cylinder bore and the piston biting a crescent shaped chunk out of it.

The recommended work around is to double up on the reeds, maybe this is your problem?

Re: Found this in gearbox oil...

Put a thin smear of grease on both sides of the gasket when rebuilding. Yes definitely a rolon chain.

Re: Found this in gearbox oil...

Yes definitely looks like chain roller shells. Full strip down required. Barrel piston and head too... Or just the chaincase? no not top end just chain case. If it were me though I’d strip everything out including the gearbox and clutch and wash all the components and swill the whole inside with pa...
