Slightly off topic, but that looks like a CNC machined manifold, whilst Jimmers are cast. I was able to machine about 8-10mm off the face where the rubber is located to allow the carb to sit closer to the frame and get a air hose in. I just found out it's the same as a vespa Clutch Woodruff key. (4mm wide x 6,5mm high x 15mm long)

has anybody in the last 40 years actaully done a airflow-test on a Lambretta flywheel cowl (+ head cowl) with different flywheel types (short finned/ long finned / lightened) to show the differences in airflow and what easy optimisations can be achieved?
