Re: Western Australia Lambretta

Crack on yourself with it Cav, there's nothing difficult around the crank, bearings and seals. Plenty good advice and videos on the Internet. Thanks. I know it's not that hard, but this is a pretty rare engine case with all NOS internals which I bought from Jem Booth. It's not the crank that fazes ...

Re: Giulari Seat Covers

There's a pretty extensive thread on here regarding Beedspeed. Check it out. A lot of the replacement seat covers sold by well known dealers are made in Vietnam. Worth looking at Saigon Scooter Centre run by Pat if you want a unique custom job. In my experience their covers are a good fit on Guillar...

Re: Oh I've had it.

I read this post ages ago and I'm wondering if prices have dropped. Here in Australia we are in mid Summer and all of sudden a heap of Lambrettas have appeared for sale on the local trading app called 'Gumtree'. I have to say the prices are generally astronomical as most of the scoots have some form...

Re: Western Australia Lambretta

I'm looking for someone to work on rebuild of an SX200 with all NOS internals. I'm fine with most mechanical work on Lambrettas, but very nervous about doing the crank, seals and bearings as the casings are rare and valuable. Anyone know a good mechanic north of the river (WA will understand). I kno...

Western Australia Lambretta

Wondering if there are any other forum users based in WA? Perth or surrounds? I'm in the Lambretta Club of Australia but to best of my knowledge all the regional forums are Facebook based and I don't do Facebook. Anyone else out there?

Re: Scooter off a cliff...

Bit of a late input as it takes a while to get through all the threads. I like the film and watch it every now and again, it's an interesting interpretation of the original album. But I never quite understood why Jimmy didn't have a GS of his own as per the album and the story told therein. I have a...

Marriotts shop back in the old days was right in the centre of Birkenhead, an area demolished in the early 1980's

Re: Lambretta Workshops In The Northwest.

There was also Shallcross's in Wallasey, and Edwards near New Brighton who rather oddly also sold prams (the old fashioned, full chassis type). The old guy there used to do really great Lambretta full paint jobs, well ahead of his time.

"Are you Cav who used to have a red Serveta?"

Hi Paul, Yep it's me. I tried sending you a PM via this forum a while back but it's stuck in my outbox for some reason. Hope you are going well buddy. Tough times over there just now.
