can anyone point me in the direction of a wiring diagram for a vespa 90 with a px style electronic conversion ( just the 2 lighting wires black earth and blue power)

check the horn button , take the switch out of the bars and clean the switch for some reason all power from engine for the lights is fed up unregulated to the horn switch down to the horn and then back to the regulator then back up to headset regulated for the lights etc if the horn switch gets dirt...

have always used any cheap car engine oil ( 20/50 ,10/40 , think i have 15/40 in at the moment) same as all my friends never had any trouble with gearbox or clutch . and if you use cheap oil, change it more regularly the gearbox gets the crap flushed out.

A lot of people moan about indian stators but I think the main problem is them coming into the uk from less reputable sources ,I have fitted quite a few indian ignitions the genuine ones I have got from scooter restorations have given no trouble, the ones from parts fairs an ebay seem to fail a lot....

haven't owned one myself but problems i have come accross only relate to poor quality control
check float operates freely ( remove flash from body and float )
float needle damaged on almost new carb
jets and atomisers aren't always the same size or machined the same, although marked the same

if it has std wiring try wd 40 or similar on the horn switch flick the button and see if this retores the power . for some strange reason the lighing power comes off stator all the way up to the horn switch then back down to the regulator then from there to the lights

my reworked v1 muggy 225 std stroke pulls 4.8 with a devtour and acording to rev counter tops out about 8000 in 4th pulls ok 1 up with luggage long hills require changing down tried this after mk4 taffy that realy pulled, accelerated up hill in 4th but limited top end to 7000 rpm I wanted just a bit...

doing a stg 4 for friend. the head has a volume of 15cc and the squish as std 3.1mm . std comp ratio on this is 8.7:1, on my lambretta I have always aimed for 9:1 std and 6:1 corrected I have jacked the cylinder up 1.7mm so now squish would be 4.8mm if head is left as is no good at all ,but if i mac...
