Re: GT240
I've also had one on the road for 4 or 5 years, it's been very reliable and is very nice to ride. 30mm phbh, fran race, AF 5 speed and Kheper ignition. A good spread of power at the right place for touring.

Re: GP stalls when clutch released
I've seen people mention 10w30 recently, any thoughts or experiences with that?

Re: DVLA inspection
The last inspection I had was just a bunch of photos with panels off showing frame number etc. The bloke said he was supposed to see it running (which it just about was) but said no big deal if it doesn't. So it could depend on who you get but should be ok. Last reg I did didn't have inspection mayb...

Re: Battery
Same here, or very similar to the above (a burglar alarm battery from screwfix). These type of batteries can be used in any orientation.

Re: Sip digital speedo Again!
Hello DB, The tyre circumference is needed only when you're using the magnetic pickup (and also the 'pulse per revolution' setting), so the speedo knows how far forward you travel per wheel rotation which contains X number of pulses, so that's why that adjustment has no effect for you as you're on t...

Re: GT 240 Options
The recommended expansion is (I think) a Fran Race, which is what I use on my GT240. It does give a nice power band once you get over 5k rpm without taking too much away at lower revs. I've never used a clubman so can't say how it compares, but I did have a borrowed JL3 on this kit initially which d...

Re: cht gauge
For the 'what temp should I be seeing' question I'd say it very much depends on your own scooter, the set up & (mostly) where you've got the sensor. For my own GT240 I've drilled & tapped the centre of the head (where the unfitted centre sparkplug gap is) so the sensor is very close to the h...
