Re: Mystery GP200

I had an early GP200 in which had the correct range engine number, however the casing which should start 22 inside had 19?
The case was out true to cylinder face which caused an issue with killing drive side bearings.

Re: piston woe`s

Wide ports can cause trouble but more so the shape of port where radiussed at top edge.
If there's bore to crank misalignment there will be blueing on small end eye or big end plus it would get through alot of drive side bearings

Re: Hot crank

1st id get the crank on a set of blocks and check if its twisted, also is the little end coloured up ?
If crank is within tolerance on run out id suspect crank to bore alignment high i have found in a few casings and the worst was an Italian one btw

Re: GT186 gearing opinion

I've found the Gt 186 and 200 variant to pull 4.8 final ratio with expansion and 30mm.
Did try 4.6 with rm pipe and found that a tad too much.
What ever you decide as a final ratio, fit a rpm gauge and make sure it pulls revs in top gear

Re: BGM V3 Stator Low Readings.

Id check red and green to stator plate 1st and components to see if wire has break or earth tag loose. if all fails go vespa parts or go for the ve stator which seems to be alot better than most on market from my experience.

Re: Mugello with 60/107 crank?

You will have to fit it and see how it all works out, 60 x 110 would give you greater scope. All casings vary as do cylinders, get it right and you have a good all round motor

Re: gt200 /225 KIT

I run Gt200 kit on my own Lammy, been on there for 18 months and no complaints. Just bolted on with no case matching or porting to cylinder 60x 110 crank, 30phbh, 18* ign was on Ron moss pipe @ 4.6 19 hp 14tq and ended up 4.8 22hp 19tq on modded evo pipe which puts the fun factor in kit. Pulls 75mph...

Re: Race Tour Pistons

Never had a problem with ring pegs to date, built many rt195 and 225 kits including the 27hp motor that's been together 3yrs now.
I know of a buy that's had two kits go on pegs the second was a replacement for 1st kit.
Maybe it's how there built or I've been lucky

Re: Scomadi.

Ran the 200 up at mersea island, hit 62mph. The econ/sport button made no difference to top speed but did let it accelerate more aggressively. didn't look too badly built tbh but i guess tile Will tell
