I'm not a fan of filters to be honest, I might be wrong but I'm sure going up with the atomiser will increase the spit back ? Try a Nippon denso plug, main looks a little small from my experience but they all do vary tbh, if possible get it to a dyno, keep checking the plug Sent from my iPhone using...

Yes I know of a few failed tbh but any and everything electrical can fail ! I personally run a re wired (by a pro) with good quality pick up SIL stator and a spare identical in the toolbox when riding

No doubt 2 stroke oil dried up in the jets and caused and crust blocking them ! Cleaning it all as you are should sort it.

Ye not to sure on that one ? I do quite often cut of either end of lead as a precaution, keep an eye on the plug top thread where the cap fits on as i use a couple of caps a year as they seem to lose the grip
