Whats this inside my 30 PHBH
Thought I would screw my jetting up on another scooter and found this brass type dish on the base of the main jet tube. Now I knew it was there when I put this 2nd hand PHBH on around 12 months ago. But, is it necessary or is it doing more harm than good, because it isn't on my other PHBH carbs. Rea...

How do I remove the needle jet on TMX35
Related to my earlier thread on my TS1, which is running rich, I am thinking of replacing old for new my needle and needle jet, thinking that these are not unlike the PHBH needle and atomiser. So, how do I remove the needle jet on this TMX35 carb (see photo), or is it a permanent fixture, unlike the...

Re: Running rich over time, is this normal?
Let us all know how you get on with that Eden, becuase I'm going to be busy today sat in a chair on Skipton High street, getting wet. So nothing much different than a wet day on a long scooter run.
Good Luck

Re: Running rich over time, is this normal?
Eden, my Monza started suddenly and I have gone through all the checks that you have mentioned and still an issue. (see old thread on LCGB http://www.forums.ilambretta.com/viewtopic.php?f=15&t=34929) So for now it’s parked up in the garage until I can get round to it. With the TS1, which is wh...

Running rich over time, is this normal?
After 2-3000 miles, following original dyno, two of my tuned scooters are running very rich, probably crept up on me. Is this normal? One of the carbs is open, so I guess dust etc. could wear down needle/atomizer. It’s not engine related because I have just changed all oil seal and piston rings on...

TMX35 needle kufuffle
Now on a PHBH, changing the needle clip is easy. But just come to drop the needle on my TMX35, which I have never done before and it was a real fight to pull back the spring and get the needle out. As a consequence, the throttle cable has also come out. Now I can see how it all fits back together, b...

Repairing speedo drive in a Frank Sanderson single disc
Last summer, whilst trying to keep up with a Vespa GTS and me going flat out on a TS1, my speedo suddenly stopped. Anyway, its winter maintenance time and I have set about to solve the speedo issue. By a series of elimination, it seems that the speedo drive in the Frank Sanderson disc, see photo bel...

Matching Casings - Advice Please
Late last year I slipped on a Rapido classic 200 barrel, whilst the engine was still in the frame of my Jet200. Time permitting, and I don’t have much, I am currently, renovating this Jet, including replacing the oil seals and checking rest of the motor. However, with the engine out, I have now ma...

Help with final carb set up.
Just got back to doing the last few miles of running in my Jet 200, with a rapido 200 classic, that I put on just before christmas. From 1/4 to nearly 3/4, the scooter bogs down. From plug chops and switching on the choke, it is still running rich. The carb is a 30 PHBH with a 122 main, AV266 atomis...
