To clarify.....I use a45 jet with good results on a SIL 200 with 42mm clubman. Only TV/sx200 used 48 jets and Li125 42 idle all the rest used 45 idle why not try and see .adjust idle mix by using the mixture screw (out to weaken, in to richen)

I believe that (according to the manuals for carb specs) that a 45 idle is the 'standard' for 18/20/22ml carbs and is what I use (48/50 would probably be for 175/186 kits

A very simple answer to this one Joee.........................we put things on wrong or upside down... :lol: Or just broke them...... I've dismantled my 1st version book and put the pages into A4 ringbinder clear pockets for the garage before they got too grubby........ sounds a great idea.. two re...

Why exactly are these boxes so bad, is it the ratios or manufacturing or just not strong enough for medium tuned and above engines

Man down here who is an' old school'panel beater. hes very, very good with lammy legshields (heats the metal etc so to take the 'stretch' out I'll PM his phone if you're interested.

If its a new engine straight from the crate that hasnt been stripped then the problem is likely to be the clutch plates,the springs are usually ok for a standard engine but the clutch corks arent really cork its more like silly putty and wont grip even if you nail them together.
