Cheers Guys. The play I have is on the throttle side. Sorry for the vagness in my original post. I have now taken the grips off and I can see wear on the inner throttle rod. The rod inside has worn away which inturn has left play for n the outer throttle handle.

The throttle part of the handlebar is loose on my series 2. By loose I mean there's quite a lot of play side to side. Before I start taking things apart is there any parts that could be worn in this area?

Bloody hell Guys. The Bgm dampers look fantastic on those forks!! I have come to a decision to make things a little easier and bought the Bgm brackets. I don't feel confident enough in welding brackets onto the forks. I'd most properly weld them in the wrong position. With regards to packing the mud...

Cheers Soulsurfer. I didn't think of looking in the book. Found and all sorted.

I'll be doing this soon using Bgm''s. I'll be taking the forks out and replacing the bearings and fork springs also. I also will be welding brackets on for the dampers. Has anyone got the dimensions to do this or any pictures so I have a guide to see how far out from the fork the bracket goes?

what is the name of the red grease that people use of there scooters. I think it's a heavy lubricant?
