just bought myself a T5 mk1. ++ update++ did last years rallies on a well deserved but not asked for sparkplug. so recapping smuggly. this bike had a £2.75 plus carplan tesco two stroke to the tune of a bottle a week. it passed more scooters than passed it and gamely started come rain or shine. its now inherited rear foot board...

standard bikes are great when they have been unmolested. the tv175 was and is designed to provide reliable all day transport when treated correctly in a very competitive 60's market place. why wouldnt it be reliable. everybody got used to constant maintenance and waiting for the problem on tuned sco...

i use a shade under 3% with a car lude 2 stroke oil in an iron barrel gp150 for round town. i always err to caution for long distance and go 4%. never had a problem with this in 1000's of miles. dare say a good quality oil will run as low as 2% though. with all the s**t modern petrol containing etha...

it reminds me of the 90's custom scoots that came after Jeremy Howletts Nike racer.
what happens if you get a flat. the glovebox wants swapping for a spare wheel holder and keep your sandwiches and tat in your pocket! :lol:
