Re: Gearbox Rebuild
if you have put the 4th gear in the right way? , and torqued down the rear hub/nut correctly then all you will need to do is fit correct shims to achive the correct clearance . changing some of the gearbox parts can alter the clearance so its a good idea to keep a set of various shims.

Re: End can bracket leak?
i use the franspeed/ jl , sounds to me like either the thread has gone in the casing and will need "helicoiling" or the bolts are to long and bottoming out in the casing or possibly not long enough, either way you need need to take casing off and check.

Re: how to make a DL 125 faster
all of your suggestions would work but the barrel would need at least a slight amount of tuning and the amount of tuning will determine what size carb etc you could use, tuning is opening the ports to get more fuel/air in and exhaust gases out , it still wont increase the top speed that much on a 12...

Re: how do these fit?
the first ones fit at bottom of no. plate and are for li/sx handle type panels it goes up under the handle loop and stops anyone turning the handles , works quite well but you have to unscrew bottom bracket everytime you want to take panel off , the other types fit near rear of seat into panel and w...

id say the same , dont bother painting just make sure the ali is kept clean and you fit the correct head and flywheel cowling to get the best airflow to keep the engine cool.

Re: Yamaha R1 rear shock
i bought one of ebay about a year ago, it came with the bronze bushes and spring to suit lambretta ( approx 180 lbs) , waste of money , the spindle snapped at the top after a couple of weeks , the same thing has happened to a few others in our club. not only that they weigh a ton also. one snapped o...
