Were they ok before, with the filters? Was this Wednesday that the temps were floating around 30 c? Had the problem for a while,its only just started to get to me,im quite a patient sort of person,so i have re checked everything several times just in case i was overlooking something glaringly obvio...

Ok, 3 different scooters,exactly the same problem, but why? As an aside, why didn't you just do a 12v light conversion on the points set up? Would have been loads cheaper and easier. He had already bought most of the parts for the conversion. I ran a GP150 fo years with points and a 12v lighting system that i cobbled together. It worked a treat,i would stil...

Recently had electronic ignition problems (now resolved), but would a standard points type flywheel fitted with a 'trigger' work with an external pick up and an electronic stator plate?
If so it could save a fair few quid on conversions by not having to buy an electronic flywheel

Dodgy flywheel ? loose magnets or a crack in the magnet would give the symptoms you've described Looks like that may have been it👍😎 Borrowed another flywheel, and she revs properly🎉 Cant actually see anything wrong with the original flywheel but it seems to be ok now. Thanks for the input fellas😎👍
