PX rear shock absorber advice

Hi, I am looking to purchase a new shock absorber for my PX125 however I am looking to find one that will be slightly narrower than the original, without busting the bank. It need not be adjustable. Any suggestions please.

Re: PX 125 Bogging down problem

Thanks for all the advice scoot is now running ok. I have tried a couple of plug chops but it does seem to running a bit on the lean side. I have tried adjusting the mixture screw but without much success is there anything else I can do to try and get that elusive nice brown colour on the plug?

Re: PX 125 Bogging down problem

Thanks for advice , gear change now much better. Plug chops now completed but seems to be running very lean. Have taken the mixture screw out a few turns at a time as far as I dare but still seems lean.
Is there anything else I should be doing to get it running richer?

Re: PX 125 Bogging down problem

Thanks for the advice on the gear change, adjustment has made a big improvement. Also I have now completed a couple of plug chops and the colour of the plug does appear to be a bit on the lean side. I have adjusted the mixture screw a bit further out but still seems lean. When I adjust the screw too...

Further to bogging down problem

Thanks Paul d for the advice, I have tried re-setting mixture screw and the tickover and there is now a vast improvement. I am yet to do a plug chop but hopefully all will be ok with that. However as the scoot has been laid up for quite a few months I am now finding a problem with the gear change.. ...

Re: PX 125 Bogging down problem

Thanks for the responses I will keep persevering and if no joy will put the scoot away for the winter and try again in the spring. Luckily it is
not needed for daily transport.

Re: PX 125 Bogging down problem

Thanks, looks like it might have to be a new carb after all, I was hoping I wouldn't have to purchase one and then find the fault was something else, but as the carb has been cleaned with carb cleaner and also had a blow through with an air line I might have to bite the bullet and dig deep. I have b...

PX 125 Bogging down problem

Hi, Having problems with my PX 125 bogging down. As soon as I turn the the throttle the revs just disappear, if I am lucky I can just catch it before the engine stalls and by twisting the throttle again it picks up and runs ok. I have cleaned the carb within an inch of it's life and the scoot runs f...

Re: Insurance question

I have just received the estimate for repair for my GTS which the Piaggio dealer says would be just over £2100 and have deemed it a category B write off. In my opinion this is just ludicrous as as far as I could see all it needed was a repaint of left hand upper and lower panel and some new leg shie...
