Re: Italian GP200 Top Speed

I put std tv175 ser 3 on dyno unit today 52mph 7.4 hp at rear wheel. Its on 20mm carb Indian big bore with remote filter. The best I've seen is Gt200 home tune with 20mm carb and outrigger pipe that hit 65mph, will put on dyno at some point . One day in time I'll put my gp 200 std top end back on an...

Re: Italian GP200 Top Speed

Ref Scootering Second Edition. Probably taken from original literature GP 200 Power Output 11.74hp @6.200rpm Max Speed 68 MPH. Seems out. GP 200 (SIL) Power Output 11.9hp @6.200rpm Max Speed 74 MPH. Seems way out. Although we know the barrels were 'stage 4' plus the SIL Clubman and bigger main jet....

Re: Italian GP200 Top Speed

Ran a mates std sx200 up with 22mm dellorto, airbox and std pipe 8.41 Hp and 51 mph. Those hp figures are at flywheel and not rear wheel. Ny Tv 175 motor pulls the sx200 no problem its on 20mm dellorto and af clubman will un up when i get a chance. Best I've seen from a lammy in std format is a Tv20...

Re: 230 touring motor, which way to go?

I wouldn't worry about 6 plate af clutch, my gt200 tt pipe pulls 22hp 19tq and runs on 4 plate surflex with no hassles
Out of box the Gt kits are just bolt on and go

Re: 230 touring motor, which way to go?

Take the Gt kit option, they are fine in std format and even better when tweaked.
Rt kits are good as are mugello/monza kits. Personally i have a gt 200 on my own ride and it ticks every box the most important being fuel consumption

Re: Disappointing RB20.

Interesting reading Martin, I quite often see kits put on and not set up right with the wrong gearing and pipe on occasion. Thinking back i had a 240 with fuel injector on that pulled sx box with 16t front and 400 x 10 rear tyre, the TS1 was the new kit on market and had to reduce front sprocket and...

Re: Disappointing RB20.

You're plug being that colour i guess you are running sip race oil ?? Pipe wise the franspeed and nk are similar in outputs so its choice on looks and how long the last, i will say both have poor fitting stubs and i modify them so they don't leak. Gearing wise its probably to high and 5.2 should sui...

Re: RB250 set up.

Im yet to try another cluster or 5 speed box, you can use a 4 speed box to good effect on a well set up motor.
Std out of box should get you too a genuine 80 mph,
Id go gp200 19 x 46 with fran race or nk race, or 4.8 final ratio
i found the early one piece pipes the best.

Re: RB250 set up.

Had this set up on barrell no9 35tmx fran race bolted on rb250 kit 60 x 107 crank tried 4.6 but found 4.8 final ratio best to use. should pull from 30 in top gear to flat out with ease. Had similar issues with 5 speed box on my own lammy, but on another note a 38hp rb motor i built has had one in fo...
