I think I've only ever had the one puncture actually and that was on the back. I suppose I'm lucky. But, I think both answers might be usefully employed in that case.

Spare Tyres

I recently bought a set of Conti Twist tyres and looking at them I notice that they are directional. So now I'm thinking, which one do I use as a spare?

As far as I know Indian Li gearboxes are said to be very sturdy. Some people will say they are better than the Italian gearbox. Oh, and a bloody sight cheaper as well. :D

Well, I daresay the Spanish dampers can be got if you know the right people. But I'm not sure they make them anymore. I didn't mean to send you off on a wild goose chase. Really Indian ones are your best bet. Besides which I seem to think that the mounting brackets for the Spanish dampers are differ...

There's a trend here methinks. The best dampers you can get are apparently the Spanish ones used on the Jet and they are gert big things. ;)

My observations are in no way reliable, but those original scooters I've seen generally seem to have brass on the rear brake only and alloy on the front.

I concur. Escort or Alfa. Very good dampers apparently. I should think you can get them just about anywhere.
