Re: how many amps will the horn button support?
I've done this on my scoot and got a DC horn off Corrado. Very loud and no issues with the existing wiring.

CHT Meter
Thinking of getting a Trail Tech CHT meter. Is it the 14mm. sensor ring size I need for a Lammy spark plug ? And is anyone running one on an Avanti kit? If so, how did you fit the sensor and where and did you gave to cut any cooling fins? Any photos would be very helpful.

Try Splat Shop. Their jets are the proper ones.

No, no, Nev. Well, not for a few years yet. Just thinking ahead to when I'm too old to kick the bugger over.

What do you mean, Nev? Can you elaborate a bit more.Doom Patrol wrote: ↑Wed Sep 12, 2018 10:52 pm Modern retro scooters are what they are. I think there is a lot to be said for them, if you like that sort of thing. They do what they say on the tin. Funnily enough I was looking at one of those Django things tonight. It's a bit of a lump.

Easy to say that, but what do you think Lambrettas would be like now if they were still in business?? That Django is quite nice considering it bows to the classic lines but with all the modern accoutrements.

Modern Retro Scooters
Which of the new modern scooters most closely resembles an original 50/60's scooter? Saw one the other day done in red and white which looked very retro but it was being ridden so couldn't get a close up. I already know about the Dutch (sic) retro Lambretta thing which has been on here

Re: Uni rear hub cone
That would be right. You don't want the splines coming right through the hub, as when you add the washer and nut and tighten down, you won't be getting the hub to tighten on the shaft correctly. Also, make sure the split in the cone is directly on top of one of the splines as in Sticky's manual.

Would have thought that if you've tightened the springs right down, then they cannot put pressure on the corks /steels to bind against each other ??

Re: whats the verdict on 24mm PWK carbs ?
I've been running a 28-30mm OKO PWK on my Avanti kitted Injun for some years now without issue. I've done all the mods to the carb (ground out the float stop in the bottom of the float bowl, set the float height correctly, binned the see through float bowl as they react to ethanol and swell up, and ...
