Re: TS1 with TMX30

The LTH manifold is like the rubber inlet on the Imola, it saves a few mm but it's the depth of the carb, 88mm (TMX27 & 30) as opposed to 74mm (TMX32 & 35). LTH with TMX32 or 35 and you should have enough room for remote filter also. It's the route I'm thinking of going with the Imola. Have ...

Re: TS1 with TMX30

Mike, the trouble with the 30 is that it's 14mm deeper than a 35, hence clearance problems. My Imola with rubber inlet manifold and 27 Mikuni (same depth as 30) barely had half inch clearance and no chance whatsoever of fitting a filter. I drilled a series of 10mm holes into a circle rather than cut...

Re: RB20 (200cc) - Pictures and Spec

The reason being that as the exhaust cracks opens the initial blow down doesnt go out of the port straight but at an angle of say 40-60deg then as the port opens it straightens towards the 10-15deg. So to help that first pulse flow without hitting the opposing exh pipe side wall the ports are angle...

Re: RB20 (200cc) - Pictures and Spec

Am I right in thinking that the inlet manifold is exactly the same as the RB22? I though that they may have made it to suit a smaller carb, but then again I suppose everyone would have just modified it to suit a 34 /35 mm carb.

Frank, a little birdie told me that you can fit tyres on scootrs tubeless. I'll be in to see you if so (I'll bring that bill too :D ).

Jason Frost at Absolutely Scooters in Sheffield will probably know, he's bound to have done a few of them.

I don't think you can lead load alloy. It's difficult enough getting alloy to stick to alloy.
