A word of caution, the original tool is designed to prevent the casing lugs from breaking when with-drawing or mounting the mounts using heat , deviate from the design and risk breaking the casing lugs as many others have done in the past , it will then cost you a lot more than £30-£40 .

if you cant budge the 4 screws /bolts with a screwdriver or impact, get a long dot punch and tap the corner of the slot anti clockwise carefully or even a thin bar grind to fine point , this will loosen the screws then they will just come out .

I agree with Dan on this, these are simple , uncomplicated , i remove the 2 screws and loctite in for safe measure , ive now been using for a few years in my own sprint and tuned motors. has anybody in the last 40 years actaully done a airflow-test on a Lambretta flywheel cowl (+ head cowl) with different flywheel types (short finned/ long finned / lightened) to show the differences in airflow and what easy optimisations can be achieved? My Rb with standard manifold was very close to the large engine mounts, ive now got the LTH manifold fitted and it has a lot more around 8mm clearance.
