Re: Stator
The picture looks better than it is, I've repaired stators and if I use them on a scooter I would charge for a refurbed stator not a new one and tell the person it's refurbed. It was the stator causing the timing probs, it checked out ok on the multimeter but not in use, tried plug, HT lead and cdi ...

Re: Sx150
Choose the colour combination or single colour you like and do it like that, it's your scooter you'll be the one who's using it so have it how you like it and enjoy

Re: Stator
Forgot about this  It's not my scooter, it's a mates Mugello 186, he just dropped it off at mine for new cables and asked if I'd check the timing and carb set up etc. It had been done last year by a dealer who claims to have fitted a new AF midweight flywheel, stator etc, it was about 21 deg a...

Re: And todays cockup is !???
Last year I was out for a spin with the lads on my Jet 200, we left the meeting point and it was a bit spluttery thinking it would clear I just carried on, just as we got out onto the main road it died, try kicking it nothing give it bump start and it fires up then dies after a couple of seconds, tr...

Re: How can I slow down a piaggio nrg 50
At a guess you'd need either 5.3 or 6.4 rollers depending on the year, To restrict it you can tack a washer in the exhaust down pipe, start with a small hole and try out for the speed, open it up a little if it's to slow. It would have been upjetted when the exhaust was fitted, I think the standard ...

Re: GT 125 ignition Problem
So it turns over ok but won't start? I had problems with my GT200 it started to run badly backfire, cutting etc then had problems starting, I done all the usual plug, plug cap, HT lead, coil, stripped cleaned the carb tested the auto choke, it turned out to be tight valves, adjusted them and it was ...

Re: Lambretta Flywheel Timing Marks
Is it the 2 notches on the flywheel that are in a different place? If so I would never rely on them to be accurate as I've seen them in different positions, easiest way to see if the arrows on the flywheel are in the same place is to align the keyway for the woodruff key's up and then you'll be able...

Re: Gel Battery
Anyone using one of the gel battery. The last one i used didn't last very long, so would like to know if they are any better. Mine lasted about 6 months. Have you checked to make sure the charging rate is ok? I've used gel batterys on different bikes and scooters and had no problems with them, they...
