Weld 2 lengths of box section onto the rims, to form a triangle and you'll have a very handy rear hub holder/stand when you want to undo or torque up the hub.
I did this and then noticed that they were original Innocenti rims!

Re: Casa 185 question
Much like the jig that Steve Rowe made for me.... only my little (weak) lathe and poor quality cutting tools don't give me quite such a nice finished product!

Re: Ron Moss - Avanti TT3 - Cylinder Kit - Review & Test....
"I thought everybody was going to be using TV200 boxes (or equivalent ratios) isn't that about 4.07 [GT is 4.4] forth gear allowing you to cruise at 75mph at low revs", my experience suggests that gearing will be governed by choice of pipe, which is the same for every other kit (and standa...

Re: Ron Moss - Avanti TT3 - Cylinder Kit - Review & Test....
^... ANSWER: None really it was more a case of being limited by the nature of the roads that we were on. 3 of the 4 bikes spent time at the front as pace setter so it was, like you say, normally a case of bikes at the front backing off a bit if we started to lose anyone. We had a standard P200 with ...

Re: Ron Moss - Avanti TT3 - Cylinder Kit - Review & Test....
I've 435 miles (700 km) on mine now and have to say that I've not been following the running in instructions for the last few hundred km (AT MY OWN RISK and not recommended!). I'm not sure of the barrel number but I do have it on the info that Ron supplied with the kit and written down in my 'little...

Re: New Readspeed Adjustable CDI
Varitronics do this too, it is a way of keeping it easy for kick-starting. By reducing ignition advance for kicking it helps the motor to spin more easily, then it quickly advances to give you the benefits for low RPM running, then it gradually retards so that it runs cooler at higher revs.

Re: New Readspeed Adjustable CDI
"So for the other stages its the same in 9 and 8 degree curves.", what you're saying is right, according to the scale on the graph, but the text seems to say something different... At 3.5K the scale reads 10, 9, 8 degrees of additional advance but the text actually seems to read 10, 8, 5. ...

Re: gearing question
A mate's Jap 200 TS1 was over ported for road use and that needed to pull 5.7, anything more and it too couldn't pull 4th. Whilst people would immediately think that it was the wrong ratio... it was very much the right ratio for the big carb and fairly revvy pipe when combined with his state of tune...
