Re: Twisted crank
Harry wouldn't rebuild my AF crank. He couldn't find an oversized pin that he was happy with and said that even if he did weld it that it would go again and didn't want anybody thinking his workmanship was poor. I could only agree with him because he has only ever done good work for me and the crank...

Re: Dodgy LT coil?
Thanks for your replies. It was the LT coil that was faulty. Just replaced it with a BGM one and it started 3rd kick
Just goes to show even if you have got a spark it doesn't mean it will start

Dodgy LT coil?
My scooter generally starts first or second kick. I came home from a ride a couple of weeks back where in the last couple of miles there was a bit of a stutter in the revs which I didn't think too much of because it picked up and was fine the rest of the way home. Went to go out a couple of days lat...

250cc piston rings
I've got a Rapido 250 that has a 72.4 mm piston. The rings are in need of replacing but I cannot find any 72.4 mm x 1 mm piston rings anywhere. Rayspeed provided the piston when I had the barrel rebored but do not seem to sell the rings anymore. Anybody know where I can get some?

Re: Carb mount....what's your preference and why?
I use the Malossi carb rubber with a 30mm PHBH Dellorto and the ScootRS 30mm reed valve manifold. And the same carb rubber and carb with an MB manifold on a piston ported engine. As Adam says the ridges on the rubber and the grooves on the manifolds are in the correct place and since using the Malos...
