Mugello V1 squish and timing are spot on, however runs a v3 head (higher compression than V1). However this is a relatively new sound and has been fine albeit top end pinking due to head compression being too high. Gonna get head reprofiled to reduce compression ratio ( cambridge lam don't do V1 mug...

Sounds like pinking but it ain't
Got a strange problem in that when coming off the power, I get a metallic sound almost like pinking but it only happens when engine ain't under load. Definately coming from the top end. I was thinking it could be small end failure. Anyone got any thoughts ???????????????

10,500 miles on mugello v1, renewed rings beginning of year and stuck a v3 head on it (made it pink like a funker) been a good kit tho'

LI150 box - I use 16/47 which gives 4.99 final ratio, IMHO thats the best all round set up for the mugello.

Morning all, Just put a new sliding dog on my layshaft (spanish dog on spanish shaft). My question is, when the dog is at 1st gear position on the layshaft, should the area that locates withthe gears actually stand proud on the end of the layshaft (by about 1mm).
